Happy Monday everyone!
Welcome to the week. No more astronomical phenomena to behold this week, I'm afraid, after Monday's supermoon (somewhat-less-than-spectactular, it has to be said), and the weekend's highly successful, if storm-blown, group "curry and comets" weekend away.
There is a report on, and photos from, the weekend, which you can access by clicking this link.)

But instead this week, on Saturday, Dave is leading us on a linear walk, exploring of some of the fascinating, pretty towns and villages of the Kent hinterland. If, like me, you struggle to tell your Tunbridges from your Tonbridges, then this is surely the walk for you.
Just get yourself to Tonbridge station (with an "o") for 09.30 on Saturday, noting that it will actually be most cost effective for you to buy a return ticket to Frant (the end-point of this linear walk, and with fascinating links to the capital of Canada). The full details of the walk are on the website and are reproduced at the bottom of this email.
Well that's ALMOST all for now...
...just don't forget to:
- let me know if you'd like to lead a walk next summer (just reply to this email if you would)
- send in your entries to the photo competition (also by reply to this email)
- sign up for the inaugural Capital Challenge hike on 1 APril 2017 by clicking this link
Have a great week.
Adam
