This week we've got Chessington and the Chilterns to cheer us!
Yes, we've got two charming changes of scene laid on for you this week, cheerfully led by those charismatic chaps Jerome and Peter.
So pour yourself a glass of chilled chablis and read on..
First of all, on Wednesday, Jerome will be leading a summer adventure (yes really) around Chessington in a circular walk which promises woods, commons and surprises. If this all sounds too good to be missed (and I'm sure it is) then make your way to Chessington South station for 18.00 on Wednesday evening, where Jerome will meet you.
The photo below shows a Chessington surprise, though whether or not this particular one features on the itinerary, you will only find out if you go..

Then chasing cheekily on the heels of Chessington come the Chilterns!
Yes on Saturday, Peter will be leading an 18-miler through the beautiful Chiltern hills, from Princes Risborough to Saunderton. All the details are below, but this is always a stunning part of the country, not to be missed at any time of year, but especially not in the high summer. So if you're tempted and would like to join this exploration, be at Princes Risborough station for 09.03 on Saturday morning. Take the 08.13 from Marylebone.
Well that's all for now. I've spent the last week on a geology field trip in Pyrenees. It's great if you like Lower Triassic breccia - and also pretty good for hiking too!
