Hello again!
I noticed that now we're into May, we are officially in the LDWA "Summer" walking season. Well - it's not exactly been a spectacular start to the season, weather-wise, so far - but here's hoping that things are set to improve..
Sounds all too likely..
Well anyway - as usual we've got a great programme of walks for you this week, and with sufficient collective positive thought I am sure we can banish the sleet, hail and wind back to the Arctic where it belongs, for a few months at least.
So, first up, on Wednesday evening, Lonica will be leading a bit of an east end jaunt, through the Queen Elizabeth olympic park and Hackney Marshes - a perfect way to end the day with some fresh air and aquatic aspects. If you'd like to join this outing, just make your way to Mile End tube station for 6pm on Wednesday evening.
Then second, on Sunday, Andy will be taking a 21 mile West Sussex wander from Amberley, exploring parts of the Monarchs Way en route. If you'd like to join Andy on the road to (or from) Amberley, you'll need to be at Amberley station for 9.30am on Sunday morning (trains from Victoria).
So now back to the delights of the Bank Holiday - which in my case means decorating the spare room. Hooray!
Enjoy the break and the rest of the week. All the details of the walks are below.
