This is to notify you that the London Group AGM will be held on Thursday 18 February at The Perserverance, 63 Lamb’s Conduit Street, WC1N 3NB. It will start at 18.30. You are all welcome to attend.

3. draft new constitution for approval. This is based on the standard template produced by LDWA and has been agreed by the committee and the Local Groups Coordinator at national level. If anyone has any comments, could you please let me and Catherine Fox know before the meeting so that we can consider them beforehand.

Member’s motions: if you have any motions that you wish to have discussed, could you please submit them to me and Catherine Fox in writing before the meeting – the earlier the better.

Election of Committee: all posts on the committee become vacant each year. If you wish to stand for any post, you are welcome to do so even if the current incumbent is willing to stand again. The current committee is keen that the committee should be representative of the membership and hence would welcome applications from a diverse range of members. Otherwise it is possible that the next committee will be made up entirely of middle-aged/elderly white men.

Please note that the current Secretary, Treasurer, Walks Secretary and Founders Organiser are willing to stand for another year. Peter Aylmer has said that he is willing to stand as Chair. There have been no offers to stand as webmaster and hence we are particularly keen for someone to come forward to take on this role.

Finally, after the AGM we will be going to Pizza Express, Holborn for dinner.
