Advance notice that this year's AGM will be held on the evening of Thursday 18 February. Further details will follow later.

However, thiis email is also to prompt you to start thinking about whether you, or indeed someone else, would be interested in serving on the committee. Each year all the posts are up for election/re-election. These are Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Walks Secretary, Webmaster, and Founders Organiser.

A formal request for nominations will be sent out later and we will particularly welcome nominations for the posts of Chair and Webmaster as the current incumbents do not wish to or cannot serve another year.

If you are interested in joining the committee and have any questions, please get in touch with me or the current incumbent of the post that interests you. The website lists the current committee.

Finally, can I make a couple of points:

1. being on the committee is interesting and fun; and

2. if we do not have a functioning effective committee, the group will suffer and, indeed, may die. So please come forward.
