Hello everyone
Well what a line up we have for you this week - three walks and a beer festival!
What more could you possibly ask for!
So, starting this week's extraordinary events, on TUESDAY (yes if you are reading this on Monday that's TOMORROW and if you're reading it on Tuesday, that's TODAY!!) Ron is leading a double-barrelled walk, starting at lunchtime with an afternoon "City at Work" exploration and followed up in the evening with a "HIlls of the North" outing (and in this case that means Primrose Hill rather than the Pennines). If you'd like to join the afternoon outing, be at Tower Hill station at 1pm. The walk will finish at Great Portland St station, from where the Hills hike will start at 6pm.
And then on Saturday, Rob is leading an East Anglian walk with pub lunch. Oh, and in the remote event that any LDWA London members might possibly be interested in sampling 450 different real ales, there's also the option of visiting the Chappel Beer Festival at the end. Be at Colchester station at 9 am if you'd like to go.
By the way, I was lucky enough to go to a beer festival in Yorkshire earlier this summer. Up there, they have proper beers, it seems!
;
They know how to brew beer properly in Wetherby
And just to get you even more excited, I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of running another competition in the next week or two (and no - it's not guessing the name of the LDWA member who most closely remembers the middle image in the photo above). So watch this space and contain your excitement!
As ever, the walk details are below.
Cheers (hic!)
Adam
