Hello everyone!
Well I'm not going to start this week's email by making any more confident predictions about rail strikes. Otherwise I will probably end up being offered a job at ACAS.
Anyway, this week we've got some great walks lined up for you.
First up, on Wednesday, you've got an opportunity to help Peter make a little bit of history
He's leading a six-mile evening walk in Epping Forest from Chingford station (zone 5). Like the Wanstead Park and Enfield Chase walks he led earlier this summer, it's one of the walks he's planning to include in his forthcoming Cicerone guide to London, a follow-up to his earlier Walking in Essex.
So why not go along and help him check it out? Be at Chingford station at 6pm if this sounds like it could be up your street.
Peter's current publication - you can help with the new one, too!
Then, on Sunday, Steven will be taking us to historic Essex, with a brisk circular walk from Epping Forest. Well at least I think Epping forest in Essex but I'm sure someone will corect me if it isn't!
Meet at Epping underground station at 9am on Sunday if you'd like to join in what I'm certain will be a really excellent hike.
Well that's all for now. As always, the details of this week's walks are below.
Please do take this opportunity to get out and about and enjoy a bit of last summer sunshine!
All the best
Adam
