Dear All

As some of you will already know, one of our long standing members, Kathy Loraso, died recently. As well as being an active and supportive member for many years, Kathy was a lovely lady and will be sorely missed.

Kathy's partner, Nigel Schofield, has asked me to pass on the following details about her funeral in case you should wish to attend.

There will be a Requiem Mass at 10.45 on Friday 21 August 2015, at the Church of the Sacred Heart for the Soul of Katherine Frances LoRaso. This will be followed by a woodland burial at the Chiltern Woodland Burial Park (near Sear Green)in the Chilterns.

All are welcome to attend either the Mass or the Woodland Burial or both. There will be refreshments following the burial.

For those travelling on public transport to the church, the suggested path is to go to West Hampstead (Jubilee Line) up the steps, exit and turn left along West End Lane, cross to other side when safe to do so and turn right on the sixth road on your right which is Gascony Avenue, turn first left into Smyrna Road, follow round and turn first left into Mazenod Road. The Church is on your left at the end of the road at the junction with Quex Road. Walking time is 8 to 9 minutes from West Hampstead Tube.

If you arrive at West Hampstead Thameslink exit the station, turn right onto West End Lane and it is 3 minutes walking time to West Hampstead Jubilee Station. Follow the route above to the Church.

Following the Mass, retrace your steps to West Hampstead Jubilee, board a southbound train to Baker Street (do not change to the Metropolitan Line at Finchley Road) and sit towards the rear of the train. At Baker Street follow signs to Bakerloo Northbound, Platform 9. Board in the middle of the Bakerloo train, one stop to Marylebone, exit the underground for the British Rail station ticket barriers and in time to board the 12.21 to Seer Green.

From Church to the Marylebone Ticket Barriers approximately 20 mins and it is requested that those travelling by public transport leave the Church as soon as possible at 11.45 after the service.

Information on the availablity of taxis from Seer Green to the Burial Park will be provided in a follow up email.
