Dear London walkers
So now the school holidays are fully upon us, the heavens have duly opened and returned the countryside to its proper verdant state. Well, that's the positive way of looking at it!
But despite the rain, it's probably about time to try and escape the madding crowd. As ever, London LDWA can come to the rescue, and this week we've got an interesting pair of walks to tempt your boots out of the airing cupboard.
First of all, on Wednesday evening, Christopher is leading a great escape from Heathrow to Twickenham - on foot down the river Crane, rather than by 747 from terminal 4, though.
I'm sure that Twickenham is there somewhere..
If you'd like to join this jaunt - and maybe even check out possible sites for new runways on the way - then join Christopher at 6.15pm at Hatton Cross tube on Wednesday,
Then on Saturday, Dave proves that the only way is Essex, with an exploration of the county, starting at Harlow Town. This was a very popular walk last year, so make sure you don't miss out and be sure to be at Harlow town train station at 8.54 on Saturday.
