Figure of Eight and an AGM 9042017

Twenty one members and guests set off from Hagworthingham for an interesting walk, devised and lead by Christine. We were to complete the first loop of the figure of eight in the morning, return to Hag for the lunchtime AGM then, after completing the group business, continue the walk and complete the 18 mile route.

It was a warm, sunny day with light winds and good dry conditions underfoot. The early spring countryside looked at its best with blackthorn in blossom and the first flush of wild flowers to enjoy.

We breakfasted in the grounds of the ancient little church at Brinkhill before progressing through more quiet Lincolnshire lanes and villages.

Back in Hag we enjoyed tea and cake refreshments before getting down to the LDWA Lincs Grp AGM business. The business was completed briskly, perhaps not quite as briskly as a recent agm attended by Chairman Dave, but we were soon out in the sunshine again and ready for the second loop of the walk.

The afternoon became quite warm and still. We finished an excellent walk at about 4.15pm.

Thanks go to Christine for organising and leading the walk, the meeting venue and the excellent refreshments, to Lorna for the pictures and to everyone who turned out on the day to support the Group.
