2015 Christmas walk

18 of us met in Hainton at the Heanage Arms pub car park for the group Christmas walk led by Terry .

With rather dismal skies we  made our way on minor roads and bridleways to Little London and through Dog Kennel Wood to finish up at the Willingham Woods car park for a mid morning stop .

There we enjoyed mince pies and sausage rolls washed down with whisky or sloe gin . Thanks to Julia for the sausage rolls , to Nicolle for the mince pies and Terry for the drinks .

Suitably refreshed we return via Little London , some road walking then a boggy stretch towards Sixhills , finally returning to Hainton by road .

After a quick change of footwear we repaired to the Heanage Arms to meet up with spouses and friends for a bit of socialising , some drinking and some great food .

The Heanage Arms is a community run pub and our thanks go to Sue Heron , Wayne and the other staff  for opening up just for us on the day and thanks to Lorna for taking some great photos .

Yet again , the weather was kind to us and stayed fine for the walk , we even saw the sun at times ; a pleasant way to round off another year of long distance walking in Lincolnshire .
