Dentdale and Aye Gill Pike April 2019

We were blessed with lovely sunshine once again for this walk.  A walk of two halves this - with some gentle riverside strolling in Dentdale at the beginning and the end of the walk, combined with a stiff climb over the long slopes of Aye Gill Pike.  This long ridge gives wonderful views in all directions, particularly back to Sedburgh and the Howgill Fells, but up to the aquaducts and remote railway station of Dentdale.  A train was seen, but sadly, no steam ones!   Messing about on the riverClimbing the slopes of Aye Gill Pike
