Pennine Way Bowes to Alston May 2018

Hotter than hot this three day walk.  Bowes to Middleton and on to Dufton and then over Cross Fell to Alston - usually a wild and windswept landscape for Pennine Way walkers.  We had a heatwave for the three days and a coat was never needed - nay not even a jumper!  Superb time had by all, but best of all Fred who celebrated a special birthday along the way.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
