After some pretty grim weather, Tom was brave enough to continue with this walk.  On the way down the motorway most of us were muttering dark thoughts about "stupid weather", and "why did I get up for this?" because it was a pretty wet start to be fair.  Leaps of faith in the weather forecast are sometimes necessary, and indeed sometimes rewarded.  We were indeed rewarded as the day improved from a foggy, boggy trod into a pleasant airy, sunny afternoon with signs of spring all around us.  Thanks Tom for making us all persevere and delaying the start so that we could not all continue to hide round the corner and then sneak in after you set off (well, that was my plan.....)
