Settle railway station to catch 09.32 train to Skipton (£5.30 approx fare), then walk back via Sharp Haw, Hetton, Malham and Kirkby Fell, finishing about 6pm

1,145 metres ascent. The toughest, but perhaps most beautiful section through the limestone Yorkshire Dales

General Notes

Note next train heading back to Skipton not until 20.02 if you're thinking of reversing the travel plans
