General Notes
A walk in the areas where Millstone Grit is the underlying rock, as well as in outcrops and tors which stand out on many a skyline. This is a rock with various sizes of particles formed by erosion of mineral deposits which were carried off and deposited as sediments. We will walk where grit dominates in the Eastern edges, an area which is part of the Dark Peak. Other rocks from this era* are sandstone, siltstone and shale. *330-300 million years ago

Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
