OUR LEADER THE USUAL SUSPECTS

17.9.06                     MORE FROM MORLAND

A small group of the usual suspects was on hand to welcome back Leader and new father John after his fractured ankle. He did us proud with an excellently devised walk of 17 miles on a fine warm day (don’t mention the nettles). His knowledge of the abundant and rarely walked paths in the Eden valley never ceases to amaze.
After visiting sleepy Newby, Great Strickland and Melkinthorpe the awesome Center Parcs perimeter fence was circumnavigated with occasional glimpses of the occupants incarcerated within. A fascinating perambulation through neighbouring Pig City followed before returning past stately Crossrigg Hall and the delightful Glenton Vale.
