Bilsdale Curcuit Badge

   The Bilsdale Circuit


 30 miles and 4,000ft of ascent encompassing the vast moorland ridges adjacent to Bilsdale in the North York Moors National Park and is intended as a single day walk for experienced fell walkers.


The curcular route was developed during 1978 by Mike Teanby of the North Yorkshire Regional Group L.D.W.A .The route has became an ever popular anytime challenge walk, visiting Bilsdale, Bransdale and Tripsdale  During the walk Bilsdale Transmiter mast is seen for most of the walk..


 The mix of scenery shows off the North York Moors at its best. Great swaithes of heather moor, forest and farmland not forgetting the Wainstones.


Albert Bowes of the Cleveland LDWA is the custodian of the walk. A Route Description is availble free of charge with SAE.
