Theres Plenty of Ups and Downs

There’s  plenty of ups and downs’      Saturday,  1st June 2019

Attendance:  14     Weather conditions:   cloudy and warm with slight rain at lunch time

Leaving Swainby by fields, we came to the foot of the Cleveland Way.  We ascended passing along Gold Hill, Carlton Moor, Green Bank and Kirby Bank then turning towards Chop Gate via an alternative route!   We finally climbed onto Cold Moor and then descended by ‘heather bashing’ into the village and our lunch stop.  The final climb of the day took us to Cockeye and onto High Farm, entering Scugdale along little used paths and towards Huthwaite Green and back to Swainby.

Thank you to all thirteen fellow walkers.
