CLEVELAND LDWA

News Items:

Saturday 25th January - "Its All Been Done Before" Social Walk from Helmsley.

The road between Stokesley & Helmsley at Great Broughton is currently closed just past the mini roundabout near Jet Miners Pub.  It is scheduled to be reopen by Saturday morning, but any slippage in the work being done could delay the re-opening.

There is the option(if the road is still closed) to turn left at the mini-roundabout/crossroads in Great Broughton, head towards Ingleby Greenhow, then take the small road on the right - signed Chop Gate, which brings you back on route at Clay Bank.

Hope to see some of you Saturday morning

January  2020 Walks

Saturday 25th January 2020.  "Its All Been Done Before"

Cleveland LDWA have been established for well over 30 years.  We are a friendly Group, we do at least one social walk a month, sometimes two. We usually walk on  The Cleveland Hills, Yorkshire Moors & Dales, Durham Dales and occasionally The Lake District.  Our walks vary between 15-20+ miles, with plenty of ascent.

We ask that anyone who isn't a member, but would like to try our walks, after walking with us for a couple of times, join the LDWA.  We recommend, if you haven't walked with us before, give the walks leader a call to discuss the walk.

We do not allow dogs on our walks, which we appreciate is unfortunate for those dog owners who would like to walk with us. There are however a number of other local LDWA Groups who do allow dogs.

We have Group Meetings every second Wednesday each month, at 8.00pm. We meet in The Bowls Committee Room, at The Thornaby Pavillion, Thornaby Town Centre. TS17 9EW.  Our meetings usually last about an hour, where we discuss our walks programme, past and future and any other LDWA matters. We do occasionally have a speaker.    Come along and join us.
