c52 miles in 24 hours.  From Deanwood Holiday Cottages, Yorkley, Lydney, Gloucestershire GL15 4TY (please note change of start from previous years).  Map OL14 (GR SO632060).  A tough and challenging walk in the scenic and historic Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.  Start 9.30 walkers and 10.30 runners.  Part of the South West triple challenge in conjunction with Cornwall and Devon’s Wellington Boot, and Dorset's Dorset Giant, with a special certificate for consecutive completion of all three events and a special badge for sale.

Wye Forest 50 rules  

Deanwood Holiday Cottages have caravan and camper facilities and bunk rooms for anyone who wants to stay the night before or after; and of course they have holiday cottages if you want to make it a proper holiday.  No under 18s.  Please make you own arrangements with them; Deanwood Holiday Cottages, Yorkley Wood Road, Yorkley, Lydney, Gloucestershire, GL15 4TY   Tel: 01594 563585

Driving directions from Chepstow to Deanwood: From Chepstow continue on A48 for 7.5 miles.  At roundabout take first exit, signposted Lydney.  After 1 mile, just past pedestrian crossing, turn left into Albert Street, signposted Yorkley (residential road, please be aware it could be busy).  Continue for 2.5 miles, by 30mph & Yorkley signs, TL into Yorkley Wood Rd.  When RD swings to R SO into Deanwood.
