Leaders: Colin Stoneman and Steve McMorrow

32 (33 in the afternoon) enjoyed Colin and Steve's walk from Salcey Forest via Tathall End, Linford Wood, Hanslope and Hartwell. A bit of mud, lots of sunshine and plenty of interesting information about the places we visited.

Secret Elephant:
"Secret" as we passed Hanslope Park Foreign and Commonwealth Office site,  HM's top secret Government Communications Centre and "Elephant" as elephants were used in Salcey Forest to haul timber during the war. Billy Smart's Circus used to over-winter in Northampton and, as circuses were closed during the war, the elephants were put to use in the war effort.
