Leader: Bob Safford

17 walkers, 18 miles.

Draughton Crossing - along the disused railway line  - part of the Northampton to Market Harborough Line - now the Brampton Valley Way -  lots of interesting features - wooden and ceramic markers, seats – excitement as we got our torches ready -  thru’ 2 disused tunnels - footpaths to Great Oxendon and East Farndon - detour to see viewing platform of the Battle of Naseby battlefield  (June 1645, a decisive win for the Parliamentarians) - lunch break at Clipston - The Bull's Head has an impressive range of real ales and "motivational thoughts" - afternoon break at Haselbech Church - Maidwell - lovely footbridge - back to Draughton Crossing.
