Huntingdonshire Wolds - Sunday 2nd March 2014

Map of route word (445KB) pdf (298KB).  Leader - Michael Trolove.  My GPS clocked 19.1 miles.

14 started the walk, welcome to non-members Margi and Jackie who walked with us until morning break, Great Gidding Newt Trail, we walked along a lane that featured in Colditz, Great Gidding windmill, Ferrar House and Little Gidding Trust, we found a hill (ish), why would a lane be called Milking Slade Lane, crossed Alconbury Brook, mini chocolate rolls at morning break (thank you Michael), compared to what we've been walking in recently the morning was pretty much mud free, one track in the afternoon was more "fun", bit windy in the afternoon causing waves on the lake, lunch in Molesworth (Cross Keys, Taylor's Landlord), Nigel Molesworth, no rain, having passed round the site of ex-cruise missile base we thought we spotted a spaceman but it was a bee-keeper, the site was triple fenced to keep the owl boxes safe.
