Weston - Walkern - Gravely - Ardeley - Church Farm - Mike counted 11 piglets - The Jolly Waggoners - the preferred lunchtime ale was Highwayman (Buntingford Brewery) -  thatched village hall (Herts Hobble cp ) - 500+ year old oak trees - was this once an oak grove? - crack willow trees for cricket bats - what is the tree Steve is looking at?  - and back to Weston - Jack O'Leg's Grave - fields of buttercups. A cloudy day - the sun came out for about 5 minutes but great for walking - lots of open country with fine views - a very interesting and enjoyable walk from Phil.
