In The Steps of Lady Di - Thursday 23rd May 2013

Map of route word (1MB) pdf (612KB)

started from Great Brington,11 on the walk, everyone else is packing and repacking their gear for Camel-Teign, bitterly cold wind at the start, good to be back amongst the warm Northampton stone, crossed ridge & furrow, skirted Althorp Park (/ˈɔːlθɔrp/ or /ˈɔːltrəp/), large bull in field, did a bit of Northampton Round we haven't done yet on Dave's walks, through Nobottle, regroup at Harlestone, lunch at Guilsborough (Nobby's Best, Virtue and Guilsborough Gold), Nobby's Brewery next door (Nobby is from Barnsley, chap shovelling mash from Bolton), unusual to see graves for 3 Americans in the churchyard at Guilsborough (nothing on Wikipedia, we'll have to look again on Roger's walk), 17.4 miles

p.s. it hailed
