PICK & MIX - NEW DATE - SUNDAY 10TH JUNE 2018

VENUE Great Missenden C of E Combined School, Link Road entrance, near HP16 9AE    GR SP 896014

PARKING There will be some parking on the school grounds.  There are also public car parks very close by which are free at the time of going to press.

Please follow marshals’ directions                    

START TIME 08.00 onwards.       Finish Time All must finish by 18.00                                 

NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED (except assistance dogs) as HQ is on school premises.

 

THE OBJECT To complete your chosen total distance in any combination of loops, on foot following a route description.
ROUTES DISCRIPTIONS These will be provided on the day ONLY & will not be available in advance. There will be 1 x 12, 3 x 8, 1 x 6 & 1 x 5 mile routes.     DETAILS The walk follows mainly fields, paths, tracks, & woods through undulating countryside with good views of the Chilterns.    

               

ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT COMPASS & MUG (no mugs supplied).

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT Suitable footwear & clothing, mobile phone, first aid kit, waterproof trousers & jacket and waterproof covers for both route description & maps.                    

MAPS covering the routes O/S Landranger 165 or O/S Explorer 181 & 172.

Marked up maps will be displayed at the start.            

                  

FOOD/DRINK The entry fee includes drinks & some food at HQ between loops, biscuits at the start & a light meal at the finish. There will be a cold drink station on the 12 mile loop open from 09.30 till 13.00 only. All other loops have NO support. Refreshments provided may be prepared & served under uncontrolled conditions. Obviously all practical efforts will be taken to maintain food safety. However from a legal standpoint entrants must independently determine the suitability of the refreshments that we provide.

TRANSPORT Great Missenden Rail Station is only 2 minutes walk away from the start.     
               

AWARDS This event is not a race & there are no prizes. However, a certificate will be awarded to everyone who completes their chosen distance. Event badges will be available while stocks last.                    

ENTRY FEES             LDWA members £7.00   Non-members £10.00           Under 18 are FREE
Entries limited to 250             Entries close 3rd June 2018.

THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.

ENTRIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE & NO SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.

A £2.00 admin fee will be charged on cancellation refunds advised before 25th May 2018.  After this date no refunds will be given.
