12th Marsden Moor, Saturday 9 May 2020: Challenge walk centred weekend

12th Marsden Moor, Saturday 9 May 2020 - Challenge walk centred weekend

From Mary Knight, Walks Secretary

Have you ever fancied the idea of taking part in a challenge event in another part of the country, but with your friends from BBN?

The 12th Marsden Moor is scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2020 (this is now the Bank Holiday weekend). The plan is for members to do their own entry and book their own accommodation with the opportunity to walk in another part of the country and enter a challenge event that they may not have walked before, while walking with friends. It would also support a less well known event.

The event is organised by the The Irregulars and starts from Marsden Parochial Hall, adjacent to St Bartholomew’s Church, Marsden, near Huddersfield.  It offers a choice of two routes of either 18 or 23 miles, in and around the beautiful Colne Valley.

Dave Findel-Hawkins will also be on hand to lead a walk on the morning of Sunday 10 May, which will be around 10 miles, and won't be starting too early!

We already have a number of members interested.  If you are interested then please let Mary Knight know by e-mail, or speak to any member of the BBN Committee.
