LDWA 50th Anniversary Hundred: 2022

The 2022 Hundred will be the Elephant, Bear and Bull - after the traditional symbols of Coventry, Warwickshire and Birmingham, through which the route passes.

Those of you who may have had enough of hills after the Hadrian, Sir Fynwy and Trans Pennine in consecutive years are in luck: this one is predominantly flat, with around 5700 feet of ascent in total and only two noticeably hilly stretches. For those who actually like hills - we hope to convince you that flat does not mean boring! Two of England's largest cities boast networks of parks and waterways which offer many pleasant walking opportunities, while the surrounding area offers historic towns and villages, rivers, forests and farmland.

We look forward to introducing you to the walking delights of the Midlands!
