Message from Dianne Sutton regarding her upcoming walk on June 29.
The walk isn't going to be what I had originally intended.
I hurt my knee the weekend before Easter and had planned to recce my walk over Easter but haven't been able to walk far until very recently.
We are therefore starting as I'd planned but now using paths I was already familiar with rather than going further afield and there will be more road walking than I'd like but I can't risk my knee on stiles.
I'm also keeping my options open where I have alternative paths depending on how my knee is holding up so it could be somewhat shorter than originally planned.
I have found a number of places of historic interest to tell people about as we pass them so weather permitting it should be an interesting route.
There are some pubs on the route but whether we reach them at suitable times for breaks remains to be seen so best to assume no pub stop!
