BBN have installed a Memorial Bench in memory of their 2 founder members Chris Meredith MBE and Chris Goodman who passed away in 2008 which was the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the group

The group are holding a memorial walk to officially “open” the bench and invited Chris Goodman’s brother the Revd Victor Goodman along to view the bench.
The walk will take place on Saturday 1st August starting at 430 pm from Ivinghoe going around the local area (up to Ivinghoe Beacon if we have the time) and returning to Ivinghoe Village Green for 6 pm where we will meet the Reverend.

After that we’ll visit one of the local hostelries for a drink and a bite to eat. We would like to invite any other LDWA members along who knew either of the two Chris’s to join us.

I would apreciate it if anyone who will be attending could let me know in advance (contact details on BBN group website or in Strider) so I could let the pub know and I can enquire about car park arrangements. If none of the pubs in Ivinghoe can accommodate us I’ll find one nearby.

It would be nice to see of many people as possible at this event to honour the 2 men who laid the foundations of this group and made possible amongst other things the sense of friendship for both old and new members that BBN is renowned for.
