We are very sorry to report that Tommy Rainford died in hospital on 16th October. Tommy had been an enthusiastic member of the LDWA for almost 20 years, walking and checkpointing with several groups including South Lancs, The Irregulars and Westmorland & North Lancs.

The family request that the funeral be a private family occasion and have asked that any donations be made to Wigan & Leigh Hospice ( www.wiganandleighhospice.org.uk ).
