After many years of being both Group Secretary and before that Treasurer Edith Moran resigned from CLDWA committee at our AGM, Edith had given us 6 months notice of her decision to resign, we are eternally grateful for all the work Edith has done on our behalf, and we will miss her being on the committee, however we hope to still see her at our monthly meetings.

Ediths successor is Paul Yellow, Paul has been a member of CLDWA for some years now, regularly leading walks for us,and its good to see younger members becoming more actively involved in Committe work.

Leaders walk report now added & photos for The Two Pools here  further photos will be added in a few days 24/10/2014

Part 2 of The Balloon Trip has been re-scheduled and will now take place either February or March 2015. Further details to follow

Our next social walk is Saturday 1st November " Chester Jaunt" see here for details

Cleveland LDWA Group has been established since 1982, we are a friendly bunch who welcome new members and visitors alike.

We endeavour to do two social walks each month, see Future Events Link. We walk on the Cleveland Hills, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire & Durham Dales, Coast and occasionally in the Lake District.   All walks are led at a moderate pace approx 3miles an hour unless otherwise stated.

We suggest visitors or new members speak with the walks leader/ or walks secretary prior to attending a walk. Unfortunately for dog owners we have a policy of  "Registered Assistance Dogs" only on walks.

We hold Group Meetings every second Thursday in the month at The Fox Covert, top of Leven Bank, near Yarm at 8.00pm, the numbers of members attending the meetings varies between 15-25 members, the meetings are informal and last for about an hour.  Come along and join in, you will be very welcome.

We organize a yearly challenge event in August - The Hanging Stone Leap, 24/13 miles on moor, forestry and road including Roseberry Topping, starting from Guisborough

Registered Assistance Dogs only allowed on walk
