Who We Are

A small group of volunteers who are all LDWA members and are LDPs enthusiasts compiled and update the information on this LDPs part of the website – they comprise the LDWA’s LDPs Team. The information is held in an online database; this is the successor to the offline database used to produce the 7th edition of the Long Distance Walkers Handbook.

The conversion of the offline database to the online version was carried out by MKH Computer Services in 2005/6 under a project funded solely by the LDWA and is part of the overall LDWA Website development project that has provided the whole of this website, including the online events, group walks, news, merchandise and membership facilities.
