Marches Way

329 km / 204 miles

Caerphilly, Cardiff, Cheshire, Herefs, Mons, Newport, Shrops, Torfaen
A route through the borderland between England and Wales linking the two Roman forts, Chester and Caerleon, which guarded the Welsh border. It takes in towns and villages such as Wem, Shrewsbury, Leominster, Abergavenny and Pontypool, mainly following the course of the Whitchurch - Newport railway lines.

Publication out of print but may be available through Amazon. The route is not planned to be shown on future OS map editions.
