This is one of a series of six 'Ale Trails' from the Jennings Brewery, details of which are available from the listed website. The route of 31 miles starts and finishes at the Inn on The Lake in Glenridding. The route initially heads for Grasmere via Grisedale Hause, offering an optional ascent of Fairfield. It then heads over the summit of High Raise to Borrowdale. After visiting Watendlath it crosses over the Armboth fells before descending to Thirlmere. Finally the route climbs to the lofty summit of Helvellyn and heads back to the shores of Ullswater.
