Brighton Way

84 km / 52 miles

Brighton H, E Sussex, Surrey, W Sussex
This is a commuter's dream fulfilled. Devised by Norman Willis, the Brighton Way was the culmination of a promise to himself to walk the beautiful countryside viewed during his journeys to and from Brighton by train. A route through farmland, villages and over the South Downs linking with the South Downs Way National Trail at Buckland Bank and the Sussex Border Path near Burgess Hill. It comprises seven connecting walks from Horley to the Palace Pier at Brighton. Each walk starts at a station and ends one or two stations down the line. The walks vary between 6 and 8 miles (the last section is 10.5 miles) and link instructions are given to join walks together.
