| Accommodation Info: | Greenwell Hill Farm lies in Weardale on the edge of the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known as England's Last Wilderness. Sandstone farm buildings have been sensitively converted to provide three high standard self catering barns. These are comfortable and nicely furnished and have central heating, double glazing, honey pined furniture, fitted carpets, natural beams, TVs, DVDs, spring water, modern kitchens and en-suite bathrooms. Bed linen, towels and heating are included in the price. The Barn (13) has 6 en-suite rooms, two kitchens, courtyard with BBQ and a lounge on each floor, one of which is a very large circular living area ‘The Gin Gan' with plenty of space for large groups to dine together. The Stable (6) has an upstairs open-plan lounge/kitchen with stunning views of Weardale. The Byre (4) has a mezzanine loft balcony above the lounge/kitchen. All cottages are available for short breaks: 3 nights weekend or 4 nights midweek. You are welcome to explore the farm, follow the nature trail or feed the chickens. Lambing time is in April. Local activities include pony trekking, trout fishing, mountain biking in Hamsterley forest or walking in the Durham Dales. B&B also available. |
