Accommodation Info

A small and friendly hostel, situated in the scenic Royal Burgh of Inveraray. This historic town sits on the banks of Loch Fyne, famous for its mussels and oysters. Attractions include the town jail, harbour, maritime museum and Ben Cruachan hydro-electric station – where you can take a trip deep into the mountain. Nearby Inveraray Castle and its grounds are awe-inspiring: it is home to the Duke of Argyll and has been for many generations the seat of the Clan Campbell. There are plenty of local walks and a few hills to climb, most notably the iconic Cobbler (884m). From here you can head for the Mull of Kintyre, the Cowal peninsula or the islands of Islay, Jura, Gigha and Arran.
