| Accommodation Info: | Bransdale Mill is a converted Water Mill at the head of an unspoiled and hidden valley in the North York Moors. Accommodation is comfortable, but basic. It is an ideal base from which to get away from it all and to enjoy peace and tranquillity in beautiful countryside. There are many fine walks in the surrounding area, which is rich in wildlife. The nearest towns are Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley, both 10 miles away, and the North Yorkshire coast can be reached within an hour. The local pubs are 8 miles away, both of which serve food. Local attractions include the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; Heartbeat Country; National Trust properties at Nunnington, Rievaulx, Bridestones, and the Yorkshire Coast; Pickering and Helmsley Castles and Duncombe Park. The surrounding farmland is owned by the National Trust and let to tenant farmers; please respect the working life of the Dale. |
