Route: O/s Marsden rlwy stn (08.27 from Manchester Victoria, or 08.10 from Piccadilly, changing at Stalybridge - check nearer the day) The classic Manchester walkers' moorland route, taking in Black Hill, Bleaklow & Kinder Scout
General Notes: Working people from the Manchester area would take the train out to Marsden, spend the day dodging bogs & gamekeepers, to catch the train home from Edale. We will follow in their footsteps; with improved countryside access, we shouldn't have any trouble with gamekeepers! To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the LDWA, everyone who completes will receive a special badge & certificate
