PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT CHANGES COMPARED TO STRIDER: 1) There are TWO walks: a 16 mile option (led by Catherine Fox) and a 27 mile option (led by Douglas Robinson) 2) If doing the 27 mile route, please note that, if we are to finish in daylight, there will not be time for a pub lunch and even though it may be possible to get drinks and snacks en route, it is suggested that you bring your own lunch and refreshments. 3) The start points times and arrangements for the 16 and 27 mile routes are DIFFERENT - see main text 4) If you are coming on the 27 mile route, PLEASE LET DOUGLAS ROBINSON (london@ldwa.org.uk) KNOW IF YOU WILL HAVE A CAR AND ABLE TO OFFER A LIFT FROM DORKING STATION TO STEERS FIELD CAR PARK (3 MILES), OR IF YOU WILL NEED A LIFT.

27 mile: meet either at Steers Field Car Park (GR TQ142503) at 9.00, if driving, or 08:41 at Dorking Station (07.54 from Waterloo) for a lift to walk start at Steers Field. 16 mile: meet at 09.53 at Gomshall station (GR TQ089478) (0845 from London Bridge via East Croydon, change at Redhill) and walk from there

The walks follow the routes of the 16 and 27 mile Founders Challenge [http://www.ldwa.org.uk/London/W/3637/2015.html]; Both walks are circular and will finsh at Steers Field (27 mile) or Gomshall (16 mile) though if on 27 mile walk it is possible to drop off at Chilworth for those who want a shorter walk. This is for Marshals of the Founders Challenge, those who want to better understand what is involved in a Challenge Walk and anybody else who would like to come along for a shorter or long walk at a brisk pace. NB "start/finish" grid ref below is for PEASLAKE - start point for Founders; NOT the Marshals' hike
