I advise getting to Barnsley on public transport. Finding a CP in the city center will be havoc. Doncaster - Barnsley X19 bus could be advantageous. We finish this section at the interchange at Meadowhall. There is a diversion on the TPT we must follow.

Part 4 starts from St Marys Church Barnsley (church st) to the Meadowhall area of Sheffield, a linear route passing Wentworth Castle, Worsboro Mill, Elsecar, Needles Eye, Wentwoth Woodhouse, Kepples Column, Rotherham Minster and Clifton Park. Returning via public transport (about £5.00) concessions are available!
