Baldock Bimble Mk III

Thu 26th Jun 2014

Walk Details:

Event Details Updated
The walk will be a figure of eight centred on the village of Weston (where there is a pub) just to the south of Baldock - approx 9 miles in the morning and 6 in the afternoon - ideal for anyone who only wants a morning or afternoon walk. More info from Phil: As previously mentioned, it will be a figure of eight centred on the village of Weston where there is both a pub and a shop. Having recce'd the route, it works best - in terms of a good mix of scenery, good paths/bridleways, etc - with a long morning section (11 miles) and a short afternoon section (4 miles). My plan would be to have two tea breaks in the morning prior to the lunch stop which would offer people the option of the pub or a picnic on the village green, followed by a short post-lunch amble. NB: If anyone turns up only prepared to do the nine miles morning session previously announced, there is a very easy short cut I can show them to cut two miles off the 11.
