A visually spectacular circular walk that starts in Pontypool and visits Mynydd Maen before reaching the fine viewpoint of Twmbarlwm. Cwmcarn is visited prior to the lower Ebbw valley being crossed on route to Maesycwmmer. Both Mynydd & Cefn Eglwysilan are visited and extensive views of the Taff valley will be enjoyed prior to reaching Pontypridd. The easternmost ridge of the famous Rhondda valleys is followed north to Llanwonno. The first night section heads east to Abercynon, Gelligaer & Deri where the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway walk will be followed north to the Grade 2 listed village of Butetown. Breakfast will be enjoyed in Tredegar from where the route will head south to Pen y Fan pond. The whale back ridges of Mynydd Carn y Cefn and Coity Mountain will be followed to Cwmavon via Nantyglo. A stretch of beautiful moorland walking will take the route to the spectacularly located Keepers' Pond. The Blorenge is circumnavigated on route to Llanellen followed by canal walking to the village of Goytre. A final climb brings the route to the Folly Tower and from there the route heads downhill to the finish in Pontypool
