This is the Web page of the Yorkshire Coast Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association and is currently under development.
The group on the east coast of Yorkshire are from a catchment area with the postcodes YO11,12,13,&14, 17&18, 21&22. and have a programme of social walks which is published in Strider and have for a number of years organised the popular Smugglers Trod Event in August. Any member of the LDWA can walk with the group and can if they wish elect to have Yorkshire Coast as the group of their choice. Prospective members of the LDWA are welcome to join one of their social walks for a trial period, but should be aware that walks can be around 20 miles at a reasonable pace and that it is advisable to make contact with the leader beforehand to confirm details.
