Yorkshire Coast Group is one of the many local groups around the country which are part of the Long Distance Walking Association, a national body, which aims to further the interests of those who enjoy challenging walking. See L.D.W.A.
The Yorkshire Coast Group is based in and around Scarborough on the east coast of North Yorkshire.We have around 70 members from all walks of life and give a friendly welcome to anyone who would like to join us.
A Sunday walking programme runs throughout the year, See Future Events . There is also a Wednesday evening and Saturday social walk programme. The walks cover the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Moors and the surrounding coastal areas and vary in distance from 10 to 20 miles to encourage new walkers who will hopefully join more experienced members on longer walks.We also have a variety of social events over the year,see the main menu for details The highlight of the year is our Smugglers Trod Challenge walk.
