Driving down the M56 I realised that I had forgot my camera. How would this look without pictures. So I was relieved on arrival at the car park to find that our offical photographer had spent a day in Stoke having his pentax repaired and had brought it with him. Off we set, an all male ensemble. Soon we were enjoying views of Beeston Castle, Doesnt that look good i said to Harold,, you will soon lose that view. Too far away, not enough light. Onto the Sandstone Trail and when a view was found, time for morning brew. Wheres Harold with that camera, looked round and there he was taking pictures of mushrooms. (picture did not make the cut).Bit of a chat but every one was on thier best behaviour, no gaffs, gossip or silliness so this report looks like being a damp squid (arent they all. squids that is not my reports). Ill get to the best bit then. Having just had your LDWA callender drop through the door i bet you all remember that east lancs photo of eric morecombe, well we did our best to recreate Tattenhalls famouus statue, or almost did.
