Two new paths

Two new local paths are described in December's Strider.

The Two Saints Way is a pilgrimage route, a 143km/89 mile route linking the shrines of St Werburgh, Chester and St Chad's in Lichfield.  It takes in sections of the Shropshire Union Canal, Beeston Castle, South Cheshire villages, Stoke-on-Trent and the Trent & Mersey Canal, finally crossing Cannock Chase to reach the historic city of Lichfield.

The Kidsgrove to Stoke Ridgeway, at 14km/9 miles, is an unofficial extension of the Gritstone Trail.  80% off-road, it passes by parkland & woodland to finish at Stoke Station.
