Congratulations to all of our members (and everyone else) who completed this year's Sandstone Trail Challenge!

First South Manchester LDWA member to finish the 33-mile course was Dave Gosling (8h43m), closely followed by Roger Hand (8h44m); Stewart Gainey came in at 8h54m, then Irene Pike (8h58m), walking with Merseystride LDWA member Ian Hilditch who set a new MV70 record; Robert Chisholm finished on 9h22m, with your webmaster John Knight ambling in at a leisurely 11h25m.

On a gloriously clear day with plenty of sunshine (but not too warm!), some other new records were set; fastest man was Duncan Harris (4h10m) & fastest woman Caroline Hall (5h04m).  Robert Hornby was MV50 winner on 5h39m; Anne Wade was first WV50 in at 6h45m.  Of 196 runners & walkers who set off from Whitchurch at 8.20, 184 arrived on foot & more or less intact at Frodsham Community Centre before sunset.
