At the bus stop on the A6 with the jctn with Langdale Rd, Heaton Chapel (just before McVities factory)
Mainly good flat paths to Fallowfield Loop and then alongside Ashton and Huddersfield Narrow Canal to Diggle, followed by short climb to Pennine Way at Stanedge and steep descent into Marsden

Coffee shop or café at end. Return on No.184 bus at 4pm (details to be confirmed nearer the time) to Mcr Piccadilly
